September’s Craft Focus is Yarn Pumpkins
Last fall one of the ladies brought this project in with her to work on instead of whatever we were doing that month. So many of the ladies loved it that they wanted to try it. So this is their and your chance. But if you would like your pumpkin decor to look a little different, check out the options at this link. If you are interested in these yarn pumpkins, here is the supply list:
What is provided:
- An apple corer
- A serrated knife or two.
- We are working on getting some cut branches there for stems.
- A glue gun
What to bring:
- Styrofoam pumpkin – as many as you want to make. If you cannot find styrofoam pumpkins, styrofoam balls can be cut to the needed shape.
- Yarn – slightly chunky is recommended. You can use extra chunky, but regular yarn or thinner will give a smoother look and take a lot longer to finish.
- Yarn needle (The plastic ones would work well if you would prefer that over metal).
- Scissors – it’s helpful but not necessary to have your own.
